Attempts to update EU regulations for harmonizing clinical research across the continent
The 2001 EU Clinical Trials Directive aimed to harmonize the regulation of medical research, but achieved the opposite. Various attempts are underway to update the directive to make it easier to safely conduct medical research in Europe.Philip Hunter
